Other Holistic Therapies

To create and maintain health we must consider our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual selves.

We must consider all elements of health that combine to make us whole.

All elements in balance -
optimal health and wellbeing

  • Acupuncture is a gentle treatment that can be used to treat a wide range of disorders by supporting the body’s own ability to heal itself, improve recovery time, prevent recurrence and restore balance.

Acupuncture is suitable for every person and is commonly used to treat pain, either from acute injury or more chronic illness, as well as a whole range of physical and mental issues.

Deborah specialises in treating women's health issues and fertility with acupuncture, as well as a more general mix of pain, injury and stress disorders.

  • Traditional Chinese medicine is an ancient system of medicine that aims to restore health and wellbeing to the mind, body and spirit. The foundation of Chinese Medicine is to treat the person rather than just the disease; a disease or illness can present differently in different people and as such we must write a prescription that fits the individual. Herbal prescriptions are a safe and natural medicine that have been used to restore health for thousands of years.

The unique combination and dose of each herb is carefully chosen to match your constitution and presenting pattern. Chinese herbs are very rarely used alone, they are usually combined with other herbs in a formula to enhance their therapeutic effect in accordance with traditional theory and modern research. Traditional Chinese Medicine always aims to treat the ‘roots and branches’ of any condition so that you feel better and stay better.

*(The use of animal products is strictly prohibited in the UK; we are subject to strict rules that prohibit the use of medicine containing material sourced from animals and endangered plant species so your Chinese herbal prescription will contain only non-endangered plant material.)

  • This is a hands on therapy created by French Osteopath Jean-Pierre Barral. The therapist listens to the body with their hands to ask where the greatest or 'primary' tension is located which may be causing more distant symptoms of pain or discomfort. They will then listen to that local area with their hands more closely to determine which specific tissue needs correcting, softening or balancing.

Katy is trained to adjust bones, muscles and joints, as well as all of the higher order tissues such as organs, blood vessels and nerves too. Often a resistant musculoskeletal pain is a compensation for a tension in one of the more vital tissues and can be eased by their adjustment.

In addition to balancing the musculoskeletal system, this treatment can also be used to balance tensions around the digestive, respiratory, urinary and reproductive organs themselves.

  • Bioresonance is a bioenergetic scan of all of the systems of the body to measure the energy of all the organ systems and find frequencies to bring them back to full energetic health. This covers nutrients, parasites, toxicities, foods and emotional frequencies. These balancing frequencies are then made up into a bespoke energetic remedy which is provided for daily body support. The results can also be used to discuss possible lifestyle changes such as diet, supplementation, exercise and mental/emotional practices.

    Bioenergetic Food Stress Test.

This checks for energetic stress of the body when presented with imprints of different foods. It can be used as an indicator for possible dietary change, but also to indicate that a full Bioresonance scan may be needed in order to find out why the digestive tract is stressed.

  • Physical symptoms can sometimes be manifestations of emotional stress. These two mind techniques work with tapping and whole brain movements, alongside affirmations and visualisations and are active and empowering techniques. Unlike counselling, they don't require talking over old pain at length, the focus is more on building new positive thought patterns and neural networks actively.

These thought field therapies have been reported to help with symptoms of pain, addictions, phobias, trauma, mood distortions and faulty self-limiting thought patterns. They can also be used to create affirmations and manifestations towards life goals in health, career, sports goals and emotional fulfillment.

  • Neuroscientists have long understood that we have ‘neuroplasticity’; that the brain is not fixed in its pathways. That means that we can rewire and re-mould our thinking to change our outlook on life for the better. We can change how we think, react and behave, and therefore we can redesign our lives. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy aims to do just that. Where other talking therapies might have you raking over old trauma and tragedies, this modern approach uses the very best of Solution Focused Brief Therapy, NLP and CBT to get you moving out of fight, flight or freeze and moving forwards towards positive thinking, actions and interactions that will help you re-create the rest of your life the way you want it.

By placing you back in the driving seat of your life and with the aid of deeply relaxing hypnotic trance, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy enables your powerful conscious and subconscious minds to come together to find a path to make your goals a reality.

As part of giving you back that sense of control, the sessions include information on how your brain works, what is actually happening when you are feeling anxious and worried, angry and irritable, or low and unmotivated, and what you can do about it. By understanding more, you can take charge and start making new choices, to change the way you react to outside events and how you plan your path ahead.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a wonderfully positive and empowering therapy and can be used to help you with a host of challenges and goals including: anxiety, OCD, low mood, anger, insomnia, weight management, pain management, smoking cessation, increased confidence, and business or sports performance enhancement.

  • The PHYTOBIOPHYSICS® Philosophy, as created by Diana Mossop, is a philosophy of vibration whereby hundreds of essences of plants, all resonating on a specific frequency, have been specifically formulated to match with particular frequencies of the body’s various organs and systems, cellular structures, acupuncture meridians, emotions, toxins, and disease taints. When taken, these formulas bring about an electrical rebalancing of the body’s energetic system thereby facilitating our body’s innate ability to heal on a deep level.

By combining essences from plants, flowers and trees from around the world, a resonance is created, which is then further amplified, producing VASER-like (Vibrational Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) electrical frequency – thus producing a remedy that is capable of dealing with past historical damage as well as deep degenerative disorders resulting from spiritual and emotional traumas in people’s lives which have manifested on the physical plane. Using a combination of test kits and applied kinesiology, the practitioner builds a personalised programme of formulas specific to each client.

The formulas consist of sucrose pilules coated in flower, plant and tree tinctures and are harmless and non-addictive and therefore safe for babies, children, the elderly and pets.

  • For those looking for relief from acute or chronic physical conditions, injuries and stress, Body Re-Balancing combines manual and energetic therapies to enable the release of trauma, whilst creating a deep sense of balance and well-being.

Each session is personalised to the particular needs of the client and draws on a combination of techniques from reflexology, massage and cranio-sacral therapy.
